Section 01What the extension does.
BABAV Finder runs only when you open it on a page. When you do, it reads the content of that active tab to find publicly visible contact information — things like email addresses, phone numbers, and social handles — and lets you save them as leads in your BABAV account.
Section 02Data it accesses.
Only when you invoke it on a page, the extension accesses:
- The content of the active tab, to scan for public contact details.
- The contact details you choose to capture (emails, phone numbers, handles, and the source page URL).
- Your BABAV sign-in, so captured leads are saved to the right account.
Section 03What it sends, and where.
When you save a lead, the extension sends those captured details to BABAV’s backend over an encrypted connection and stores them against your account, so they appear in your dashboard’s Contacts. That is the only data it transmits.
Section 04What it never does.
- It does not track your browsing history or run in the background on pages.
- It does not read pages unless you open it and act.
- It does not sell your data or share it with advertisers.
- It does not show ads or inject anything into the pages you visit.
Section 05Permissions, explained.
The extension requests the minimum it needs:
- Active tab — to read the page you are on, only when you invoke the extension.
- Storage — to keep you signed in and remember small preferences.
- Host access — to talk to BABAV’s backend to save your leads.
Section 06Account-gated & secure.
Finder works only when you are signed into BABAV. Data travels over encrypted connections and is stored against your account under the same protections described in our main Privacy Policy. We do not train models on the contacts you capture.
Section 07Retention & deletion.
Captured leads live in your BABAV account and are yours to export or delete. Removing a contact in the dashboard deletes it. Deleting your BABAV account removes everything, including data captured by the extension — see our Data Deletion page.
Section 08Third parties.
The extension communicates only with BABAV’s own backend. It does not send your data to any third-party advertiser, data broker, or analytics network.
Section 09Changes & contact.
We will update this page if the extension’s data practices change, and revise the date above. Questions? Email support@babav.co.
