General

What is BABAV, exactly?
BABAV is an AI employee for your brand — an omnichannel agent that works your channels the way a sharp social-and-sales hire would. It reads and replies to DMs, comments, and emails in your voice; writes and posts content; generates video (VEO 3.1) and images; runs personalized cold-email outreach; and finds, scores, and tracks leads in a built-in CRM (the Lead Engine). It even ships with a free Calendly-style booking page that drops a Google Meet on every booking. It runs across Threads, Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, YouTube, and Gmail — plus Telegram, X, Discord, LinkedIn, and Twitch, included free. Built on Gemini 2.5 Flash.
Who is this for?
Solo founders and creator-led brands — roughly 1–10 people — who sell through DMs and email. If you're drowning in DMs, comments, or cold-email opportunities and can't justify a full social ops team, BABAV is built for you.
How is this different from Hootsuite, Buffer, or Sprout Social?
Those are scheduling tools. BABAV doesn't just schedule — it generates the content, reads incoming messages, replies in your tone, finds and tracks leads, books the meeting, and learns from your knowledge base. It's an autonomous employee, not a post-queue manager.
Does it actually find leads for me?
Yes — that's the Lead Engine. Every inbound DM, comment, and email reply is auto-captured, sentiment- and intent-scored, and dropped into one cross-channel CRM, with hot leads pushed to your phone. It also works outbound: the browser extension and discovery tools surface new prospects that you can pipe straight into personalized cold-email sequences. One lead list, every surface.
Does it include a booking / scheduling page?
Yes, and it's free and built in — no Calendly subscription needed. You get a clean, on-brand booking page: pick your availability, share the link (or let the agent drop it right into a DM or email), and every booking automatically creates a Google Meet and lands on your calendar. The lead it came from is tracked in your CRM alongside everything else.
Does it get better the more I use it?
Yes. Beyond the setup wizard and your knowledge base, BABAV learns from your day-to-day feedback: every time you edit, approve, or correct a reply, that signal tunes how it handles your brand going forward — so it steadily gets sharper at sounding and deciding like you. The learning is additive, reversible, and per-brand — your corrections only ever shape your own AI, never anyone else's, and never the base model.

Setup

How long does setup take?
About fifteen minutes. You connect your channels with one-click OAuth, and a guided setup reads your website to draft your brand voice, FAQs, and offers — you just review and tweak. Set your silence rules and you're live. No call required, no onboarding form.
Do I need to be technical?
Not at all. The whole platform is a dashboard. You'll upload some documents, pick tone settings, set a few rules, and click "go live." If you can use Notion or Slack, you can use BABAV.
Can I review every reply before it goes out?
Yes — approval mode is one click. The agent drafts everything, queues it, and waits for your thumbs-up. As you trust it more, you can switch specific channels or topics to fully autonomous.
Can I import my existing customer list?
Yes. Upload a CSV of cold-email leads, or export your contacts from an existing CRM (HubSpot, Pipedrive, Airtable, etc.) and import them as a CSV — each row maps into your lead database.

AI behavior

Which AI model powers BABAV?
Text generation runs on Gemini 2.5 Flash via Google Vertex AI. Video generation uses VEO 3.1 in both fast and standard modes. We chose Gemini for the latency and cost profile — sub-second inference at high volume.
How does it learn my voice?
You upload sample replies, brand documents, FAQs, and tone guidelines. The agent grounds every output against this knowledge base and runs a final tone-match check. We don't fine-tune models — we ground them. That means you can update your voice in seconds, not retraining cycles.
Will it ever make stuff up?
The agent is configured to refuse to answer questions outside its knowledge base, rather than guess. If a customer asks something not covered, it either drafts for human approval or sends a polite "let me check with the team" reply. You can tune the strictness per channel.
Can I stop it from replying to certain topics?
Yes. Silence rules let you mute the bot on specific keywords (e.g. "refund", "lawsuit"), on certain hours (weekends, launch days), or on individual contacts. The bot routes those messages to humans automatically.
Does the AI sound human?
That's the central design goal. We pass every output through a tone-match scorer and a "giveaway phrase" filter that strips the hallmarks of bot writing (over-explanation, excessive emojis, robotic phrasings). In our own testing across live channels, the replies read as human — not as a bot.

Security

Where is my data stored?
All infrastructure runs on Google Cloud Platform, specifically Cloud Run in us-west1. Storage uses Firestore and Cloud Storage with encryption at rest. EU data residency is on our roadmap.
How are OAuth tokens protected?
All third-party tokens (Meta, Google, WhatsApp) are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM with a per-user data-encryption key. The DEK itself is encrypted by Google Cloud KMS. Tokens are never logged, never displayed in plaintext, and rotated on every refresh.
Do you train on my data?
No. Under our Vertex AI configuration, your prompts and outputs are not used to train Google's foundation models. We do not train any of our own models on customer data. Your knowledge base, replies, and conversation logs stay yours.
Are you SOC 2 compliant?
SOC 2 Type I is targeted for Q4 2026 and Type II for Q2 2027. We can share our security overview with prospects under NDA today.
Can I delete all my data?
Yes. Account deletion is one click — every record (account, configuration, conversation history, encrypted tokens) is purged within 30 days, with anonymized backups expiring within 90.

Billing

How do I sign up?
Start a 7-day free trial at app.babav.co — create your account, connect a channel, and you're running in minutes. A card is required so there's no interruption when you're ready to keep going, but cancel any time inside the 7 days and you're never charged.
How does billing work?
After the free trial it's a flat monthly rate set by how many channels you run — from $39/mo for one up to $129/mo for all six (annual billing gets you two months free). Usage is billed per action on top — a DM or comment reply is $0.01 ($0.05 on X, which charges for both sides), posts are $0.05–$0.10, a YouTube publish $0.25, with video and cold-email outreach the higher-cost ones. The first $25 of usage each month is included free — you only pay beyond that. Every action has a simple published price, billed only when it completes successfully, on the same monthly invoice, and capped at a spending limit you set. Every action's price is itemized in your dashboard's Billing tab. No prepaid credits, no top-ups, no expirations.
What if an action fails — am I still charged?
No. Usage is logged only after a successful, completed action. If the Meta or Google API returns an error, our retry logic handles it without billing you. Billing is tied to the success response, not the request — built into the platform from day one.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes, right from your dashboard or by emailing support@babav.co. Cancel and you keep access through the end of the period you've paid for. There's no contract and no cancellation fee; usage already consumed isn't refundable.
Can I cap my usage?
Yes. Set a monthly spending cap in the dashboard and autopilot pauses when usage hits it. Inbound messages still queue and you can lift the cap with one click — no surprise bills.
How much for more than one brand?
Add as many brands as you want on any plan. Each brand is priced by its own channel count, and every additional brand is 20% off its price. Add them from your account center, switch between them in a click, and they all bill on one invoice — each with its own voice, channels, and rules.
Can I run this for clients (white-label)?
Yes. Because brands are unlimited on any plan, you can run other people's social invisibly — each client is just another brand under your account, with its own channels, voice, and rules. They never see BABAV: no client dashboard, no login, no branding — the work simply shows up on their channels as if it came from you. It's how agencies and operators use BABAV to run many brands from one seat.
Is there a done-for-you option?
Yes. If you'd rather not run it yourself, our Done-for-you tier puts a dedicated operator behind your dashboard — running your channels, holding monthly strategy calls, and continuously optimizing. It's $499/mo or $4,990/yr, and includes a larger $50/mo usage allowance. Book a call and we'll scope it.

Integrations

Which channels are supported today?
Your six core channels are Threads, Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp Business, YouTube, and Gmail — your plan price is set by how many of these you run (1–6). On top of those, Telegram, X, Discord, LinkedIn, and Twitch are bundled free and don't count toward your channel total: BABAV auto-replies to your Telegram bot's DMs, posts and replies on X, mirrors your posts to a Discord server (with an /ask command and @mention replies), schedules and posts to your LinkedIn feed, and auto-replies to your Twitch chat. You connect each one yourself in minutes.
Is there a public API?
An API is in private beta. It exposes the core actions (send message, generate content, fetch leads, update CRM). General availability when we're confident in rate limits and SDKs. Get in touch if you want early access.
Can I bring my own LLM key?
Not currently — we route everything through Vertex AI under our enterprise agreement so we can guarantee cost, latency, and data-handling SLAs. Bring-your-own keys may come later, but aren't on the near-term roadmap.
Does it work with my existing CRM?
Today, your contacts and leads can pipe through Zapier or our outbound webhooks. Deeper two-way CRM sync (HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive) is on the roadmap.
